Cookie Policy
Last updated: 25 April 2026
This Cookie Policy explains the small number of cookies and similar technologies used by detilt (operated by DroidBender BV). It supplements our Privacy Policy.
Plain English: we use one cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or third-party trackers.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your sign-in, and provide aggregated analytics.
2. Cookies we use
Essential authentication cookies. When you sign in, our auth provider (Supabase) sets a session cookie so you stay signed in across pages and reloads. Without this cookie, the app cannot remember that you are logged in. The cookie is httpOnly, secure, and scoped to detilt.app.
These are strictly necessary for the Service to function and do not require consent under EU/Belgian law (Art. 5(3) ePrivacy Directive, recital 66).
3. What we don't use
- No advertising or marketing cookies.
- No third-party trackers (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- No cross-site tracking.
- No fingerprinting.
4. Vercel Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for basic page-view counts and Core Web Vitals. According to Vercel, Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not collect any personally identifiable information. No personal data leaves the site for advertising or marketing purposes through this tool.
5. Why we don't show a cookie banner
Under EU/Belgian law, a consent banner is required for non-essential cookies and tracking technologies. Because detilt only uses a strictly necessary auth cookie and a cookie-less analytics tool, no consent banner is required. If we ever add anything that does require consent, we will show a clear banner with an opt-in choice before any non-essential cookie is set.
6. How to control cookies in your browser
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Note that blocking the auth cookie will prevent you from staying logged in. Helpful guides:
7. Changes to this policy
If we change which cookies we use, we will update this page and, where relevant, ask for your consent before setting any new non-essential cookie.
